I think the western culture is too focused on money and shiny new things. Whenever I travel to poorer countries, their societies are definitely based more on community.
Ha ha, Randy, this is awesome. Coincidentally, my dad is 88 and keeps inviting me to go with him on one of his 20 mile bike rides he does for exercise. I've been trying to get into good enough shape to be able to compete with HIM!
This isn't something you commonly see in the U.S. either. At least I don't.
One of my favorite things is playing checkers with my grandpa. He's 88 but his mind is sharp and I still lose as many games as I win against him.

That is so cool! Good for him. One of my ultimate goals is to be able to do stuff like that at that age.
