Mak, I agree with Karena. And speaking of change, you have expanded so beautifully into the role of storyteller. Your eye for simple and powerful metaphors and ability to convey them usefully out of the details of your life is a joy to see.
I'm not sure if I told you this, last year I was thinking about quitting writing as I only had a few followers and I wasn’t getting anymore. But I didn’t because of your continuous comments and encouragement.
I only a slightly larger following but I now write to practice the art of storytelling.
Mak, I am so utterly delighted to hear this little backstory, but more delighted that you didn't give up and to see your skill as a storyteller evolve. As a teacher of mine once said, sometimes we have to play for the angels for a while, but there's no doubt that your storytelling practice is making a difference in the universe. We never know what ripple effects of our efforts are reaching into the world.

Thank you for all your support.

I really enjoyed this post, Mak. In some way it paired beautifully with my post today on looking backward.
Congratulations on all the change. And the proof that you have made it. You crafted the story very elegantly too.
Thanks for the compliment.
I will have a read of your latest post – I’ve just been a bit busy so about 2 weeks behind on my substack inbox.
